Translating Your Project

Translating Your Project

Turn one video into many. Add extra languages to a project and VideoMule translates the outline and script, generates a native voiceover, and renders a separate video per language.

Every VideoMule project starts in one primary language. Once its outline is ready, you can add more languages — each one gets its own translated script, its own AI voiceover, and its own rendered video. VideoMule supports 70+ languages (74 at the time of writing).

Adding a language

  1. Open your project's script page and find the language selector (it shows the current language with a flag).
  2. Click Add Language.
  3. In the sheet, pick the target language and a voice — only voices that support that language are offered.
  4. Confirm. The language is added and translation starts right away; you're taken to the new language when it's done.

Each language can be added to a project once. Adding a language uses one translation from your quota.

What happens per language

Every language runs through its own pipeline, independent of the others:

  1. Outline — the project outline is translated.
  2. Script — a full script is generated in the target language.
  3. Voiceover — audio is generated with the voice you selected.
  4. Render — the final video is rendered with the translated voiceover.

Because the pipeline is per-language, a problem (or an edit) in one language never touches the others.

Editing a translated version

Each language has its own editable script, with its own version history. You can:

  • Edit any line of the translated script and regenerate just that audio.
  • Choose a different voice per language — as long as it supports that language.
  • Use different avatar settings per language (see Placing Avatars in Your Video).

Switch between languages at any time with the language selector on the script page.

Translation quotas

Translations are a monthly per-plan quota:

The free trial includes 1 translation. Need more in a given month? The Translation Pack add-on adds 30 translations to your current billing cycle, and credit packs include translations that don't reset monthly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I pick my favorite voice for a new language?

Voices are language-specific — the picker only offers voices that support the target language. Choose one of the compatible voices, or connect your own multilingual ElevenLabs voice.

Does translating re-upload or re-process my video?

No. Translation reuses your existing project and its outline. Only the script, voiceover, and render are produced per language.

Can I translate before the original is finished?

The primary language needs a completed outline first. After that, you can add languages even while you keep editing the primary script — each language is independent.

What counts against my translation quota?

Adding a language to a project. Editing a translated script or re-rendering that language later does not consume another translation.
