Generating Your Video
Once you've reviewed and edited your script, you're ready to create the final video with voiceovers. This is where VideoMule brings everything together.
The Generate Video Button
You'll find the "Generate Video" button after you've finished editing your script. Clicking this button kicks off the final video creation process.
Before you click, make sure you've done the following. First, review all your script segments and make any text changes you need. Second, select your preferred voice from the voice settings on the right side. Third, save any edits you've made.
Once you're happy with everything, hit that Generate Video button.
What Happens During Generation
When you click Generate Video, a few things happen behind the scenes.
Voiceover Creation
VideoMule creates audio for each segment of your script. If your video has 12 steps, it generates 12 separate audio clips.
Preparing the Editor
After the audio is ready, VideoMule prepares your video for editing. It figures out where each voiceover should play and where the video might need to pause so the narration can finish. All of this gets set up automatically on the timeline.
Loading the Video Editor
Once everything is ready, the editor opens up. You'll see a brief loading period while your assets (the video & generated voiceover audio) download to your browser’s local storage.
You'll notice the light blue sections on the timeline when the editor loads. These are spots where the video pauses briefly to let the voiceover finish. The darker blue layer is the video. VideoMule adds these pauses or freezes automatically so your narration never gets cut off.
What to Expect
The entire generation process typically takes under 30-60 secs for most videos. You'll see progress indicators showing audio generation completing, then the editor will open automatically.
From there, you can preview everything, make adjustments if needed, and render your final video.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does video generation take?
Most videos generate in under a minute. The actual time depends on how many script segments you have.
Can I change the voice after I click Generate Video?
You'll need to select your voice before generating. If you want a different voice after generation, you'll need to go back to the script editing stage and generate again with the new voice selected (this feature is coming soon & not available yet).
What are those light blue sections I see in the editor after generation?
Those are pause points. VideoMule automatically adds them where your voiceover clip is longer than the original video action. This makes sure the narration plays completely without getting cut off. The darker blue layer is the original video file uploaded by you.
Do I need to stay on the page during generation?
Yes, stay on the page while the video generates. The process is quick, and you'll be taken to the editor automatically once it's done.
What happens to my script edits when I generate?
All your text changes are used to create the voiceovers. Make sure you've saved any edits before clicking Generate Video so everything is included in the final audio.
