Generating Your Video
After reviewing your script, use Generate Voiceover to create its narration. Then review the prepared timeline in the video editor and export the finished video.
Before you generate the voiceover
In the script workspace, check the selected language and script version. Review the script text, choose the voice and quality you want, and check any avatar placements. Open Effects to review the generation settings before starting.
When the workspace shows Voiceover pending, select Generate Voiceover to create narration for the script.

Choose generation effects
Open Effects before generating the voiceover. The menu offers:
- Skip Silences: trim silent gaps in narration.
- Slides: show intro and "Step N" title cards.
- Auto Zoom: zoom into clicks as they happen.
These settings apply when you generate the voiceover. Review their result on the generated timeline. They are separate from the script preview's playback settings.
The switches shown are one project's settings.
Voice quality and usage
In Change Voice, the Quality menu offers Standard and High Quality (2x). Check this setting before generating narration. The higher-quality option carries a 2x label in the app; check your workspace's usage information and Capabilities and Limits before choosing it.

Optional avatar clips
To include an avatar presenter, open Change Avatar before generation. In the AI avatar panel, choose an avatar and review the Intro, Outro, and Transitions placements. Select an avatar to enable the placement controls. The panel shows duration estimates for the available placements.

What happens during generation
Voiceover creation
Generate Voiceover creates narration from the script. The script workspace shows Voiceover pending before narration is generated. When it shows Audio ready, use Editor to continue to video editing.
An audio-ready script provides an Editor button.
Preparing the editor
VideoMule prepares a timeline that aligns the narration with the source recording. It can include pauses or freeze frames where the narration needs more time. Preview those holds and any generated effects to check the pacing.
Loading the video editor
Use Editor to open the prepared video. Allow its media to load, then preview the narration and visuals and make any needed timeline adjustments. The AI Video Editor guide explains the editing tools.
Export the finished video
When you have finished editing, use Export video in the editor. Use Export options to review the available export settings. Follow Rendering and Exporting to create the final video file. Audio ready indicates narration readiness; you still need to export the finished video.
What to expect
Follow the status shown in the workspace as narration is generated and the editor becomes available. Allow the editor's media to load before judging the preview.
If generation does not complete
Check the status and any error message shown in the workspace. If you return to the project, inspect that state before starting generation again. When asking support for help, include the stage you were working on and the exact error message. This helps distinguish a narration problem from an editor-loading or export problem.
Frequently asked questions
How long does video generation take?
Check the current status and continue when the next action becomes available. The estimated voiceover duration describes the length of the narration, not how long generation will take.
Can I change the narration after generation?
To change the spoken words or use a different voice, return to the script workspace, update the script or voice selection, and generate the updated narration. Review it again in the editor before exporting.
Changing only caption text in the video editor does not change the spoken audio. Visual caption corrections and other timeline changes are included when you export the edited video.
Why does the video pause during narration?
Pauses or freeze frames give a voiceover more time while holding the corresponding visual. Preview these points to check that the pacing works for your video.
Do I need to stay on the page during generation?
Keep the page open while you monitor generation and wait for the workspace to offer the next action. If you have already left, reopen the project from Projects and check its current state before starting another generation.
What happens to my script edits when I generate?
Review the intended script version and language before generating narration. Make changes to spoken wording in the script; use the editor for visual adjustments. After creating updated narration, check that the audio, captions, and visuals still match before exporting again.
