Create a Project

Here is how you can set up a new video project in Videomule, upload your footage, and get everything ready for your first video - assisted by AI.

Create a Project

Starting a New Project

To begin, click the New Project button. The setup process is simple and only asks for three main things:

  1. Video Title: A clear name for your project.
  2. Upload Video: The screen recording you want to narrate.
  3. Language & Voice: The language and specific voice you want the AI to use.

Once you fill these in, the system creates your project file. This acts as a container for your video, the AI-generated script, and the final voiceover.

Choosing the Right Video Title

The title you give your video is actually very important. It does more than just help you find the file later.

The AI looks at your title to understand the context of your screen recording. If you give it a vague title like "Video 1," the AI might guess wrong about what you are doing on screen.

Tip: Be descriptive. Instead of "Demo," try "How to Create a Gmail account." This helps the AI write a much more accurate script from the start.

Supported Languages and Voices

We have a library of pre-configured voices ready for you.

  • Select Language: Pick the language you want your video to be in (e.g., English, Japanese).
  • Select Voice: Once you pick a language, the voice list updates automatically to show valid voice options for that language.

You can listen to samples of the voices before you select one.

Video Upload Requirements

Keep your videos concise without gaps or being on the same screen without action for long durations. For the best results, keep these requirements in mind when recording your screen:

  • Video Duration: The video being uploaded must be equal to or greater than 30 seconds (system doesn't allow less than 30 seconds video). Video limit for the free plan is around 3 minutes.
  • Silent Videos work best: Videomule is designed to turn silent screen recordings into narrated videos.
  • Format: We accept standard video formats. The system analyzes your video frame-by-frame (roughly one frame per second).

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I upload a video that already has sound?

You can, but VideoMule isn't optimized for this. The AI primarily analyzes the visuals on screen. If you upload a video with existing narration, the generated script won't necessarily match what was said in the original audio. We’re planning to add this feature in future.

Can I change the voice after I create the project?

Yes. As long as you haven't clicked "Generate Video" in step 2 (script editor page) to render the final output, you can still go back and change the voice selection in your project settings.

My video is longer than 3 minutes. Can I still use it?

Free accounts are limited to shorter videos (around 3 minutes) to ensure processing speed. If you need to process longer videos, you need to upgrade your plan or split the video into smaller parts.

Why is the AI taking a while to process my upload?

The AI analyzes your video frame-by-frame. If your video is long, it takes a little more time to write the initial outline.

What happens if my video title doesn't match the content?

The AI uses the title to understand context, so a mismatched title can lead to a less accurate script. If you notice the generated script seems off, try going back and updating your title to something more descriptive.
