VideoMule paid plans now include free unlimited local rendering — export videos in your browser, up to 4K, with no credits, no render limits, and no watermark.
You fixed a typo in your script. Now you have to spend another render credit to export the same video again.
If you've used an AI video tool, you know this feeling. Every export is metered — by credits, by video minutes, or by a monthly cap — so every small revision has a price tag. We call it the render tax, and it quietly shapes how people work: you batch up edits, you hesitate to fix small things, and you think twice before translating a video because each version costs another export.
Today we're removing that tax. Every VideoMule paid plan now includes free unlimited local renders.
Almost every AI video platform meters your exports in some way. Some count video minutes against a monthly allowance. Some sell credits that each export consumes. Some cap exports by plan tier. The models differ, but the effect is the same: the meter is always running, and revisions are where it hurts most.
Think about a typical 3-minute product demo. You rarely export it once. You export it, spot a mistake, fix the script, export again, adjust the pacing, export again. Four revision passes on a 3-minute video is 12+ metered minutes — for one finished video.
We've written detailed comparisons of how this plays out in practice:
Here's exactly what's new. When you click Export in the VideoMule editor on a paid plan, you can now choose to render your video on this device — right in your browser:
Your plan's cloud renders are still there when you need them (Creator includes 30 per month, Team 60, Agency 120). The difference is that you're no longer forced to spend one on every small revision.
When you pick "On this device", VideoMule renders your final video using your own browser's processing power instead of sending the job to our cloud render farm. Keep the tab open while it renders, and the finished MP4 downloads straight to your machine. The export is also saved to your Exports tab like any other render, so your team can grab it later.
Because the render happens on your device, there's no queue and no per-render cost — which is why we can make it unlimited.
Cloud renders still make sense for some jobs: very long or very high-resolution videos, effect-heavy projects, or when you want to close your laptop and let our servers do the work. VideoMule picks the best option automatically by default — and if a local render can't complete for any reason, it falls back to cloud rendering, so you always get your video.
You can read more about limits and quotas in our plans and usage docs.

If you're evaluating AI video generators, add one question to your checklist: "What happens to my cost when I export the same video five times?"
With credit- and minute-metered tools, the honest answer is that revisions multiply your cost. With VideoMule, revisions are free — you iterate as much as you want locally, and your quota is reserved for the renders that genuinely need the cloud.
Combined with AI script generation, realistic AI voiceovers, and one-click translation, this makes VideoMule one of the most revision-friendly ways to produce tutorial and product videos. See the full breakdown on our pricing page.
Yes. On every paid plan, local renders are free and unlimited — they never touch your monthly cloud render quota. Cloud renders remain metered by plan (30 per month on Creator, 60 on Team, 120 on Agency). The finished file is saved to your Exports tab, so it uses storage like any other export.
No. A local render produces the same final video as a cloud render, at up to 4K resolution. The only difference is where the processing happens — your browser instead of our servers.
No. Paid-plan exports are watermark-free whether you render locally or in the cloud.
No. The free trial includes 1 watermarked cloud export so you can test the full workflow. Unlimited free local rendering unlocks as soon as your paid plan starts.
Some videos — very large outputs or projects with certain effects — need more processing power than a browser can provide. In those cases VideoMule automatically renders in the cloud instead, so you always get your finished video.
